In Deuteronomy 24:14,15, the Law of Moses stipulates that poor people must be paid very promptly - on the same day they have worked, in fact. What I found particularly interesting is the reason. Not because of their urgent financial need, but because of the distress it would cause otherwise - for he is poor and has set his heart on it. That the eternal all-powerful God, who has to stoop down over His microscope to even examine the cosmos should care about the emotional distress of His creatures over money, of all things, is something quite amazing.
